A hiking and trail running paradise all year round
The Chamonix valley: a paradise for hiking and trail running, all year round
The Chamonix valley is the world capital of trail running, including the Chamonix marathon at the end of June and the UTMB at the end of August, the Verbier Saint Bernard trail (early July), the Argentière trail in mid-July, and the famous des Aiguilles Rouges in September...
The Chamonix valley is also one of the most beautiful playgrounds, with approximately 500 km of trails for all levels.
The list is too long. I could give you advice based on your desires and levels. Many mountain refuges and restaurants offer beautiful objectives or nice stops. You can see and approach ibexes in the Aiguilles Rouges reserve in Vallorcine.
You will have at your disposal in the apartment a welcome booklet (with the addresses of mountain refuges and restaurants) and numerous hiking guides.
From mid-June to mid-September, the Vallorcine cable cars are open in pedestrian mode, to start hikes at around 2000 meters.
Over a longer period, other cable cars in the Chamonix valley are also open in pedestrian mode for very beautiful hikes!
Do not hesitate to contact me before your arrival.
